OGTC Competes at USATF New England Open Championship at Holy Cross
The team had a great showing at the USATF New England Open Championships on Sat. July 27 at Holy Cross! A number of new club records were set and debuts were made by Matt Rabasco who finished 6th in the 5000m run in 17:08 and Carley Dykstra who finished 3rd in pole vault with a height of 3.35m. This also marked the debut of the women's program (we're sure lots more ladies will be making their debuts during cross country season!) The club's big winner of the day was Jack DeVine who finished first in high jump at 1.93m (6' 4") and 3rd in long jump at 6.43m (21' 1.25", new club record). Austin Scott kicked off the club's track day with a 3rd place finish in the 5000m run in 16:00.78 (New club record), with Matt taking 6th and Dan Mortimer taking 7th. Ryan Wittenberg and Lucas Roy took to the track in the 1500m, with Ryan finishing 2nd in 4:04.77(New club record) and Lucas taking 4th in 4:10.09.
