OGTC kicks off the 2019 XC season at Greater Boston Track Club (GBTC) Invitational

On Sunday, Sept. 8 the old goats took a trip to DCR Great Brook Farm State Park in Carlisle, MA to run a 5k. The men's team kicked things off by placing 3rd as a team, led by a 3rd overall finish in 16:14 by Austin Scott. Dan Mortimer placed 20th in 17:02, Kyle Morrison was 28th in 17:30 (His club debut!), Matt Robasco was 29th in 17:34 and Ryan Wittenberg was 30th in 17:35. Dave Goodrich ran 18:30, Justin Trott finished in 18:42 and Dan Wentworth ran 20:06.

The women's team made their XC debut with a 5th place team finish, led by a 13th place finish in 21:13 by Julie Tevenan, a 19th place finish by Emily Newman in 22:11, a 27th place finish by Liz Turchiarelli in 23:10 (Also her club debut!), 45th by Carley Dykstra in 26:08 and 49th by Theresa Inzerillo in 27:19.

The club races next and looks to keep the good performances coming at the Brown Bear Invitational at Stanley Park in Westfield, MA.
